Introducing Phil Main, a Chief Storyteller at Cowbell Brewing Co. in Blyth, Ontario.

Phil is a Huron County boy. Though born in the Niagara Peninsula, Phil’s family moved to Goderich when he was five and he will always consider home to be somewhere in Huron County. After a couple of brief stints in Hamilton and Toronto in the 1980s, he returned to the County he loves to work, play and raise a family. His enthusiasm, love for life, and terrific attitude is shared with his greatest achievements - three awesome children and two grandchildren who light up his world.

A two time graduate of Fanshawe College in London where he studied Radio Broadcasting and Music Industry Arts, Phil has been the voice of morning radio in Midwestern Ontario for more than 28 years. He has also been known to pick up a guitar and sing a song or two.

Phil believes that everybody has a story and nothing makes him happier than listening, sharing and connecting with those stories, especially when it’s over a delicious Cowbell beer. Phil’s favourite Cowbell beer changes regularly, but at the moment he’s in a bit of a Fly Girl stage…or a Shindig …or a Boxing Bruin …and some days …well, you get the picture.

The phrase he hears most often from Guests and friends at the Cowbell Farm, is “What an amazing vibe this place has.” He understands the truth of that but even with his extensive background in media, doesn’t feel he could ever adequately explain it. It is something that simply has to be experienced.
