Storyteller: Cheryl Peach

Born and raised in London, Ontario, Cheryl came to Huron County 30 years ago to develop a new program for children with visual impairments for the local Board of Education. Over her career in education, she served as administrator of several area schools, System Principal of Special Education, and was seconded to the Ministry of Education as a Regional Environmental Education Lead. She also enjoyed a term chairing the Board’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and Environment committees.

The desire to create Cowbell Brewing as a welcoming, destination facility for everyone, dovetails intrinsically with Cheryl’s belief in inclusion and her current work with the Cowbell AODA Advisory Committee.

But there is still more! Through her husband’s work with the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation, as well as enjoying summers and beautiful sunsets along the Lake Huron shoreline with family, Cheryl became a keen advocate for the environment, both at home and at school. Cowbell’s attention to detail, work in creating a carbon neutral facility with its own closed-loop system, local farm-to-table philosophy, incorporating the roots and history of Blyth into the fabric of the stories, as well as its vision of growing a community together, provides wonderful material for a variety of educational tours focusing on architecture, science, environment, culinary, to name a few.

Cheryl believes Cowbell’s dynamic storytelling team will help Guests to experience a deeper understanding of our work and vision, while at the same time enjoying delicious fare from our restaurant and a refreshing pint of beer - Shindig and a Renegade Nitro beer are Cheryl’s favourites!
