The story of Lorna Bray Fly Girl
Born in Blyth in 1931, Lorna Bray was Canada’s original Fly Girl. At age 14, she made her first solo flight in a Piper J-3 and at age 16, was the youngest woman in Canada to make a parachute jump. A high-latitude pilot, she also flew everything from helicopters to DC-3 transports to bush planes.
